This was painting number 13. A lot of dark colors when I started, but gradually the highlights appeared. The fireplace glows. It’s a cool scene. I can imagine the sound of the fire and the crickets. Maybe even some loon calls from the lake.

      Thanks, James. Yes, I had a great birthday. Tom and I rode our motorcycles in the mountains 335 miles and stopped for a nice lunch.
