We attended a bike blessing at Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH today with the US Spyder Ryders Merrimack Valley NH Chapter that we just joined. I think close to 40 of our members attended. We met at Kimball Farm in Jaffrey and rode in together. Cathedral of the Pines is in a beautifulContinue reading “Bike blessing at Cathedral of the Pines 5/11/24”

A Taste Of The Past
Number 12 completed. This was a fun and colorful painting to work on. It’s called “A Taste Of The Past”. I love eating in these old diners. The classic cars are very cool too! We used to have one in Newport next to what is now the Salt Hill Pub (The Eagle Block). It’s goneContinue reading “A Taste Of The Past”
Standing Proud
Number 11 completed. I really loved painting this beautiful buck. It’s standing confidently in the woods, showcasing its strength and magnificence. This artwork gives me a sense of the wild nature in New Hampshire. Just looking at it makes me feel connected to the great outdoors!
Autumn riding in New Hampshire
The autumn leaves in New Hampshire in October are beautiful. The colors are still stunning even though it’s late in October and we are past the peak foliage for this region. We had a fundraiser to attend in Litchfield. The temperature was expected to be in the 70s with no rain predicted, so we choseContinue reading “Autumn riding in New Hampshire”
Riding in Zanesville, Ohio – October 2023
I joined five of my friends (Jerry, Jerry, Dave, Ron, and Harold) to make our annual motorcycle ride. This is the fifth ride that my friend Jerry has organized starting in 2019. I have participated in four of them. I wasn’t able to make the ride last year because we were in the middle ofContinue reading “Riding in Zanesville, Ohio – October 2023”
Mount Washington Cog Railway
We had a fun time riding up Mount Washington on the Cog railway last Friday. We didn’t get to see much from the summit though because halfway up we entered clouds. It was windy on the summit too. It is interesting to see how the types of trees change as you ascend the mountain. TheyContinue reading “Mount Washington Cog Railway”
Evening Spyder Ride 8/14/23
We took an evening ride on a loop through Plainfield, New Hampshire and along River Road. Nice views of the Connecticut River along the Vermont border. We rode over lots of unpaved roads which weren’t a problem on 3-wheel CanAm Spyders. Beautiful countryside. It’s fun exploring new routes.
Life On The Farm
I just finished “Life On The Farm”. Now I have to make a frame and mount it. Nice Fall colors. It won’t be long before it will look like this in New Hampshire . A beautiful time of the year!
Riding in Coos County NH June 2023
We headed north on Route 3 from Lancaster up to Colebrook, east on Route 26 to Dixville Notch, and then south on Route 16 from Errol to Berlin and Conway. It’s a beautiful ride. We plan on riding there again soon. We encountered a Moose on the way. It was standing in the middle ofContinue reading “Riding in Coos County NH June 2023”
Iconic symbol of freedom
I just finished this painting. The bald eagle is an iconic symbol of freedom. I loved painting this. Now to make the frame and find a place to hang it!
Animal tracks in the snow…
We would often see these tracks in the snow across our property. We couldn’t figure it out, what animal was making them? Then this morning we got an answer to the question… Wild turkey tracks! The turkeys pretty much follow each other in a straight line. They were taking a shortcut from one side ofContinue reading “Animal tracks in the snow…”
Found some LIFE Magazines from 1968
We are fortunate to have a large garage which was built in 1900 when the house was built. I’m sure it used to be a carriage house. On the first floor there is enough room for two vehicles, two motorcycles, a woodwork shop and additional storage for lumber supplies. The second level is about 2/3rdsContinue reading “Found some LIFE Magazines from 1968”
